Ann Coulter appeared on Your World With Neil Cavuto to discuss her recent appearance on a college campus—where she got booed off—and liberals in general. Coulter says that college liberals yearn to get on the microphone but don’t know what to say once they get it, meaning that they can not formulate an opinion since the system has been nurturing them for years.

first of all I think a bunch of kids at a college event doesn’t count as “liberals”
also not sure ever why people feel the repubs kept us safe when they ignored Mr bLaden for so long until he go into their face.
Anyways, I know conservatives who don’t care for Coulter Ian. I can introduce you to them if you want…

Yo carolm!
Here’s something to mull over….first of all, I think any college professor who incites soldiers to murder their superior officers is surely a “traitor”.
also not sure why people feel the “Bill Clinton Administration” ignored Mr OBL
Anyways, I am one conservative who likes Ann Coulter and would like to shake her hand.
carolm- your arguments are so pitifully lame you have to be a fake Democrat. You gotta be a conservative! Come clean, you’re a Republican, aren’t you? Thanks for the laughs and Merry Christmas!

That said, Coulter’s an idiot–albeit an offensive one.
Terr-that shoe is a perfect fit on you.

I have a question. Was there ever a violent or rude/disruptful protest by a group of conservatives? Especially in recent years?

Had an abortion recently?

Oh yah. Forgot about those pro-life nuts going around killing doctors. Talk about hypocracy.
How about during politacal rallies or speaches like what happened to Ann Culter?

Michael Moore received a similar reaction to Ann Coulter in both Utah and Arizona during October of 2004. Several people were ejected from the auditorium in Arizona at which his speech was continuously interrupted with chants of “four more years” by, albeit small, groups of protestors in the crowd. At Utah he was the subject of several death threats which were captured on film.

I am not too familiar with Ann yet. (my tone is inquisitive/polite) So is it safe to say she is an insane rightwing propagandist double standard hypacrit, as michael moore is one of the left wing’s insane propagandist double standard hypacrit? (Question open to all, especially Ian)
I assumed not so far; she gets a lot more public tv time on the news than mikey does. i would think of her as maybe extreme at tiems, but not a constant fact omitter nor an investor in a company that she woud say is evil (mike moore and haliburton)

i’d say that’s not far off. they are both wildly popular among the fringes of the left and right wing, both are incendiary and both are talented at what they do. but i think your average person, while maybe entertained by their opinions, doesn’t take either one too seriously.

If they’d thrown food at her she’d’a been out of there like a shot. “I’m gaining…gaaaiiining! ARRRrrrhhh…”

Are you suggesting that attempts to interrupt Moore’s speech are warranted due to the fact that he is an insane propagandist double standard hypocrite?

A little paranoid, remission? I saw no such suggestion in fadingcapn’s post.
I certainly do not advocate, “violence,” against abortion doctors, and I know nobody on the pro-life side who does. However, I fail to see how people are attempting to protect innocent unborn babies, by protesting at abortion clinics are in the same category with those who shoot abortion doctors.
I also do not put these people who are trying to protect innocent human lives in the same category with people who shouted down Ann Coulter to prevent her from voicing her opinions in an environment where she was INVITED to voice her opinions.
If something similar happened to Michael Moore, I’d agree that it was inappropriate and rude. However, I would require some PROOF that what you allege actually happened to Moore, because frankly, I don’t believe it. Got any proof? That would be proof other than Michael Moore’s website.

By the way, remission, I live in Arizona, and I never heard of anything of the kind happening to Michael Moore here.

Ah, the old “I live there, I never heard of it, it never happened!” denial.

“Four more years? They are off by four years, it’s only three more weeks,” Moore said.
Moore commented on the fact that they wouldn’t stop yelling, no matter what he said, even when he gave them 60 seconds to get the chants out of their systems.
“It’s like AM radio and the Fox News Channel, all day long all they do is scream,” he said.
The hecklers toned down about 45 minutes into Moore’s speech, only after several groups were ushered out of the stadium by security.
The Dean of Students formally warned some groups and some people were escorted from the stadium because they were so disruptive, said Allistair Chapman, ASUA president.
“That’s fine outside, but inside, freedom of speech only goes so far before it’s disruptive,” Chapman said.
As for your statements regarding abortion clinics, I do believe the original question was:
But in any case, despite how you would categorise these events, both the abortion clinic and Ann Coulter protests are an attempt to deny others the rights that are afforded them under the rule of law. It’s as simple as that.

In response to your question EL GUAPO:
“Was there ever a violent or rude/disruptful protest by a group of conservatives? Especially in recent years?”
May I direct you to this absolutely classic bit of video documenting conservatives being rude and disruptful…to their own protesters
Hilarious!

I am unfortunately familiar with Moore’s inaccurate film Fahrenheit 911. It was because of his film that I temporarily became liberal, and against the re-invasion of Iraq. But it was then that I became interested in political drama and started to listen to talk radio. I started out with left wing radio, (Air America was the only name I can recall)and immediately saw inaccuracies as to what they were saying, not only about the majority of news but also how they were contradicting what troops from Ft Bragg that I ran into were coming home, wounded, in rahab, and saying otherwise and wanted to go back. Granted not all wanted to go back, and some even were against the war. But I was surprised that the ones who wanted to go back were also the ones who had first hand accounts of success and happy stories about Iraqis.
Then I started to listen to more right wing radio. Glen Back, Michael savage (for about 2 shows before I got tired of his bull headed extremism), then Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. I was stuck on those 2 since because they tend to deliver more accurate and complete news, although I think Hanity cuts off callers too often instead of arguing points that rebukes what they are claiming. But both do a good job at bringing up all the facts (Rush is better) and criticizing the president.
Michael Moore, from what I have learned so far is all double standard. He invests in the company that he says is so evil (Halliburton among others), and flat out omits facts. However he did go a good job about raising the oil questions with S.A. But Ann so far as I can see, does not “do as I say not as I do? as a lot of the left does, including Michael Moore. If anyone can provide proof of her contradicting her own preachings by her own actions, I am all ears (or eyes). Please provide links. Otherwise, Michael Moore is more of an hypocrite.

I’d respond, Gene, but it seems Ian is too busy silently deleting my posts instead of responding to them with anything as prosaic as rhetorical discourse. So it sort of kills the mood.
