Expose the Left
October 30, 2005

Helen Thomas appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher this past Friday to preach to the choir. Maher starts off the segment with a statement basically saying that no one is able to directly ask President Bush questions. I’m not sure why he would say such a thing because (a) Bush has press conferences almost everyday, whether it be in the Rose Garden or in the White House with a foreign leader—and (b) when this is the standard for Presidents?

Bill shifted the conversation to the role of the press in President Kennedy’s sex life. Thomas said the press corps did not know about it but eventually conceded that “there was talk about it”. Oh please, if Americans knew about it, the press HAD to know. It was obvious that Maher was trying to make the point that the press didn’t report this because it was his personal business. Hmm, I wonder if he was trying to mirror this situation to President Bubba.

Maher also questioned Thomas why the press core doesn’t ask HARD QUESTIONS. Wow, where has Bill been for the past five years? I am wondering why Bill didn’t take his own advice and ask Helen why she made the “I’ll kill myself” if Cheney runs for President remark? Hypocrisy much?

    I’m sure he was.

I would guess because Helen Thomas is a journalist paid to express her opinions whereas Bill Maher is asking why the politicians in the Bush Administration who are paid to serve and protect the life liberty and pursuit of happiness of the people of this nation are not being asked why they are dividing the country, plummetting the economy into debt, botching foreign affairs and neglecting the security of the homeland. But that’s just a shot in the dark.

She is a beauty, her intelligence shines forth. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate forum for her that Maher’s show.

Helen Thomas: She had a strong sexual attraction to both Kennedy and Clinton, and if she were not so ugly she probably could have given them both hummers. Unfortunately, even several bags on her head wouldn’t help.

Thomas is no journalist, she has always been a propaganda minister for the left, and Bill Maher is an bleeping liberal idiot!

Hypocrisy much? You deleted my comment in which I answered your question with debate. Apparently raising hardball questions isn’t allowed on this site either.

Bill Maher questions why no hard questions for Bush, who’s job it is to serve the people, is (in some people’s opinion) not doing so.
Helen Thomas, who’s job it is to voice her opinion, is voicing her opinion.

    Ian-
That photo of Helen gave me one heck of a scare! Before you post something like that again please have those creative people at USA Today doctor it up first. She’s got to have flyin monkeys (from Oz) in her garage! God bless our troops

Approxfinity—you are not the only one getting posts selectively deleted. So much for free speech and ideas. When a conservative expresses an opinion based in strong conservative history and idology; when a conservative can do this in reasoned arguments that impugn nobody nor resort of epithets or vulgaities; somehow that voice has to be surpressed.

This is what the conservative movement has become: we cannibalize ourselves.

LOL, that picture kreeps the heck out of me!

billy bob, you’re right that free discussion has been somewhat of a victim here. My friend who recommended this blog to me said he actually was banned for being too far out left – said I might be conservative enough to pass through tho, hehe.

In any case I say, let everyone speak their mind – if someone says something completely untrue or idiotic I’m sure many will respond exposing why this is so through civil and corteous argume….ahh, who am I kiddin!

[...] Helen Thomas was ’stuck on stupid’ at today’s White House Press Briefing. She wouldn’t let up on Scott on why the administration is not seeking warrants, even though this has been explained several times, including today by Alberto Gonzales. This is just more proof that the media is out to embarrass the administration, rather than doing actual reporting. MR. McCLELLAN: And with that, I will be glad to go to questions. [...]
