“Minister” Nashim Nzinga (actually I think his name is “Hashim”, not “Nashim”), a leader in the Black Panthers (a communist, racist, and violent group) appeared on Hannity & Colmes tonight. I can’t describe this segment in words, it’s probably best that you view it. I will just say this man believes Jews knew about 9/11 beforehand, there is some type of “mother ship” guarding earth, and white people intentionally blew up the levee in New Orleans to kill blacks.

Actually, this is the NEW Black Panther Party, a different outfit from the ‘60s group. This new variant makes Bobby Seale, Huey Newton & Co. look like solid citizens. They’re virulently racist and anti-Semitic. They’re also avid supporters of the genocidal reign of Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.

All the more reason to ignore them. It’s almost unfair to put this clown on TV, as if he represented the mainstream of though among black Americans.

On the other hand, it must be admitted that there is a sizable chunk of black America that does take this kind of rubbish seriously. Depressing, ain’t it?

Sadly there are many in this country who use the “Race card” to make a lot of money. They all sing the same tired old song – If anything bad happens to black people (even natural disasters) it was done deliberately by Racist White people. This guy is more extreme – but Jesse Jackson / Al Sharpton etc are doing the same thing. The MOST Ironic thing is that these people are THEMSELVES Racists – They HATE WHITE PEOPLE. However I thank God that these people (while very vocal) are in a small minority.

It was one of their “why” sketches (this was an occasional running sketch where one of the comedians would turn to the audience/camera and remark on some stupid commonplace). In this one, a crowd of people of various races is gathered on a street corner, looking at an accident. The tv news crew shows up. I will paraphrase, since it’s been years since I’ve seen the thing: “Why,” the comedian asks, “do tv news people always focus on the craziest black person in the crowd at times like this? Then the camera crew is shown bypassing the sober, multiracial crowd to focus on a crazy black woman screaming about aliens and ufos. [...]

I hate to tell you but as strange as this individuals attitude may be it is only slightly removed from the prevalent attitude of this culture. Black Americans are really in a different world than whites, Asians, or Hispanics. This is by choice. It is not a matter of discrimination or lack of opportunity. The beliefs that are expounded are consequently very much similar to those that you see hear. It would be dangerous except that to carry this to the violent aspect would require planning and energy, neither of which most are capable. There are more blacks in the shelters here in Louisiana. That is because they will not get up and go establish more permanent housing or get a job. This is the reason for the situation they were involved in with NO. So do not discount this person, a sizable portion of our country believes this junk.

I agree that African Americans have a different mindset than most whites but then again blacks weren’t even seen as human until slavery was abolished. Then they were seen and treated as second class citizens until the mid 1960’s. Sociologically speaking this is not a long time ago for blacks or for whites. That is why there are generations of people on welfare or as soldiers, policemen, doctors, lawyers they also have mindsets. The rich think a certain way, the middle class think a certain way, and the poor think a certain way. There is not just one America. There are historical reasons for each groups attitudes and behaviors.

    Mr Nashim Nzinga, & his
(small band of African Americans calling themselves the New Black Panthers)

How you even received air time on one of our news networks baffles me. yet a bitter sweetness. Thank you for showing America your ignorance. Please encourage more of your party members to make fools of themselves before docking the mothership’s narrow doors.

As guardian of the true history of the Black Panther Party, the Foundation, which includes former leading members of the Party, denounces YOUR exploitation of the Party’s name and history. YOU HAVE FAILED to find your own legitimacy in the black community, you graft the Party’s name upon yourselves, which the REAL Black Panthers condemn.

Firstly, NONE of the people in the New Black Panthers were never members of the Black Panther Party and have no legitimate claim on the Party’s name. On the contrary, you stole the names and pretend to walk in the footsteps of the Party’s true heroes, such as Black Panther founder Huey P. Newton, George Jackson and Jonathan Jackson, Bunchy Carter, John Huggins, Fred Hampton, Mark Cark, and so many others who gave their very lives to the black liberation struggle under the Party’s banner.

Secondly, you denigrate the Party’s name by promoting concepts absolutely counter to the revolutionary principles on which the Party was founded. Their alleged media assault on the Ku Klux Klan serves to incite hatred rather than resolve it. Just as your motives are with the Katrina disaster. The Party’s fundamental principle, as best articulated by the great revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara (a LATINO), was: “A true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love.” The Black Panthers were never a group of angry young militants full of fury toward the “white establishment.” The Party operated on love for black people, not hatred of white people.

Don’t encourage this dysfunction, don’t divide your people from themselves. Huddle around them & join your brothers. You’re giving them anger & bats.

    Nice try.

The fact of the matter is that what the Kanye Wests of America imply, the Nashim Nzingas say out loud. I know this to be true, because I am black, and I have in the days since the horror of New Orleans hit the TV screens been shocked at the way seemingly intelligent black people – including my close relatives – have fallen for anti-Bush media spin that rivals Katrina’s rotation. In the words of Marvin Gaye, it “makes me wanna holler.?

When I was in my early childhood, there were race riots, segregated schools and lunch counters, and the Black Panthers were coming into vogue. Miscegenation laws were still in place in much of the South. And as I wasn’t told until I was an adult, there were mumblings against my parents moving into the Irish-Italian neighborhood that I called home.

Times have indeed changed. But the Jesse Jacksons, the Al Sharptons, the Julian Bonds, the Randall “Black people are eating corpses? Robinsons, and the Louis Farrakhans, whose followers skew Democrat, want their target audience to believe nothing has changed. That’s why Nzinga, rather than support his specious claim that the N.O. levee was purposely destroyed with murderous intent by President Bush, cited factual historical examples of racist American outrage, e.g. The Tuskegee Experiment, the Trail of Tears, and the Tulsa race riots (which he embellished with the notion that there were bombs dropped on the city). Those things happened. None of them happened within the past three decades, but the race hustlers – almost exclusively leftist, and mostly Democrat – are heavily invested in making black people think that progress – like a black Secretary of State, for example – is a well-choreographed distraction. Their message: The Man is biding his time, waiting to sock it to black people again.

The Democrats, with the power of their millions raised mostly by and from a shrinking number of white people, stoke that message for their own purposes every single election cycle; “If you vote for Republicans, you’re enabling the people that brought you church burnings, KKK killings, and segregation, and they’re ready to bring it on back as soon as they can get away with it.? It’s a constant drumbeat supported by pervasive ad campaigns. That’s why the inner-city target audience – even the supposedly smart and famous individuals, like West and rapper Chuck D – believe urban legends like “AIDS was designed in a laboratory to destroy black people? and “There’s something that ‘they’ put in malt liquor to make black people act crazy.? That’s why in the 90’s, Snapple had to alter its famous label depicting the Boston Tea Party so that black consumers wouldn’t believe the rumor that the men disguised as Indians in canoes weren’t blacks in “slave ships,? or that the “K? on the label – which stands for “Kosher? – was really a code for “KKK.? This trend of poisonous reasoning was aided and abetted when mostly white, left-leaning journalists turned the victims of government mismanagement into commercials for the DNC, slyly speaking of how blacks living in a city run by a black man saw themselves as casualties of deliberate Federal government neglect, and letting baseless charges of bigotry fly at the White House without once honestly challenging, “What logic is there to what you are saying??

To suggest that nutjobs like Nzinga “don’t represent anybody but themselves? is to deny the reality that the only difference between Nzinga and Al Sharpton circa 1980 is that Nzinga isn’t a brown Goodyear blimp. Look how far Sharpton, the inciter of bigoted mobs who was convicted of slander of a white prosecutor, has come. He had the Democratic Party licking his boots even before they legitimized him by not laughing him out of the Presidential race in 2004. So who knows? Maybe someday, Nzinga will be Presidential candidate Chelsea Clinton’s running mate in, say, 2020.

“There are historical reasons for each groups attitudes and behaviors.”

I wholeheartedly agree with this but at some point it stops becoming valid. I think you could strongly argue that blacks were a more socially cohesive and healthier community back in the 50’s and 60’s when by law, they were discriminated against. The situation for blacks as a whole has improved dramatically since then, but the disparities are greater. And with greater disparities, comes more polarization like the Minister. That guy is fucking nuts.

Fondly, I remember my high school days of listening to Public Enemy, and wondering who Farrakhan was. Then I read what he believed, about the mothership and Elijah( a Jewish name ironically ) Mohamed, and white devils, and had a good laugh. The New Black Panther party is a straight up murderous, racist organization, only a few degrees separated from the Klu Klux Klan( another great irony ).

Today I received a link to two stories comparing Bush with Hitler.

Just look around; Iraq, Afghanistan, Enron, Cheney’s energy-papers, the deficits, the courts, the UN, Israel-Palestine, New Orleans, the corporate-corruption, the war-profiteering, the incompetence, the lies; everything Bush touches is reduced to rubble. No institution, however protected, can withstand the onslaught of his withering company; the vast wreckage extends in every direction.

“Character is fate,” Marcus Aurelius said; it is a straight line drawn from a man’s birth to his final hour. Some men will fail in everything they do and there is no force in the universe that can alter their destiny.

    So here is my take on the Bush-Hitler comparison;

    1) Hitler was volunteer in WW1 and a certified war hero – Bush is a deserter and a certified coward.

    2) Hitler developed a hugely successful economic miracle – Bush has bankrupted the USA

    3) Hitler’s love of things automotive sparked total domination of all motorized racing events worldwide – Bush has a chauffeur and watches baseball.

    4) Hitler had impeccable taste in music, drama, opera, literature and art – Bush lacks any and all of these qualities to a spectacular degree.

    5) Hitler was well versed in world history – Bush doesn’t know how to spell the word.

    6) Hitler was an unfailingly polite man – Bush is an impolite, rude bully whose behavious is so bad, that in Santiago de Chile, President Lagos CANCELLED the farewell dinner prepared for him in 2004.

    7) Hitler was openly AND privately admired by men such as Britains Lloyd George, Lord Rothmere, Americas Charles Lindbergh, Swedens Sven Hedin, Norway’s Knut Hamsun, Frances WW1 hero Marshall Petain, Slovakias President Dr. Tiso—a virtually endless list of “who’s who” of the 1930’s world. – Bush is scoffed at and disdained as a useful tool of the jews and is admired by Britains Tony Blair. That about covers his fan club.

    8) Hitler was a reader of complex technical texts, which he absorbed and understood better than many “experts” – Bush has prided himself in not being a reader.

    9) Until 1939 Hitler’s political life was crowned by one stunning success after the other – I can’t think of even one political success of Bush’s.

    10) Hitler was the finest orator in the past 200 years. He wrote his own speeches, he spoke flawless German – Bush’s speeches are written for him by jews, he peppers them with horrendous grammatical mistakes and only a certified cretin will watch this man speak and believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

    11) Hitler told the truth and kept his promises – Bush doesn’t know the definition of truth and keeps no promises. None!

So, to compare Hitler with Bush is more than a stretch. It’s absurd.

This is not the Black Panther Party formed in Oakland….the Black PAnther party—despite what most of you all may think was positive empowering organization for the PEOPLE..not just blacks..they focused on commuity enrichment programs and were outshined by the policy of firearm use (which was completely legal)

don’t be ignorant…they are just as much like the Black Panthers as REAL Aryans are to Nazis..not similar in the least w/ the exception of the term

the panthers banded together w/ several organizations and sought to unify the people….black people were just the starting point but in no way were they the only interest…

also the Panthers were not communists they believed the capitalist system as it was in the US was exploited and used in the wrong way…they felt the communist revolutions in China an cuba etc. were what those nations experienced due to the nature of their cultues and history—they never expected or advocated the same to happen here….Dr. Huey P. Newton even apologized for the carrying of weapons in the early days of the panther party b/c he felt it did alienate the organization and give the false impression of them…which obviously it has judging from these ignorant posts
