What media bias? This media bias …

Right after President Bush’s address to the nation last night, ABC reporter Dean Reynolds went out interviewing Katrina victims. He asked Bush-bashing baiting questions, however the woman he interviewed didn’t bite on to it.

Note: Around the 17 second mark you can tell Reynolds cut her off to ask her another question because he was unhappy with the result.

[...] ABC got embarrassed last night interviewing hurricane victims after the Presidents address to that nation. The Political Teen as the video. You HAVE to watch it. Then explain how anyone can contend there is no media bias against the President and EVERYTHING he does. The questions were outrageous. But bless that woman, she spoke the truth: Dean Reynolds: Did you harbor any anger towards the President because of the slow Federal response? [...]

Channel 7 ( or Ch 4) in Los Angeles also directly after the speech interviewed Katrina survivors now settled in Lancaster CA (the Mojave desert). Out of four survivors interviewed, one said “We shouldn’t be at war” but the other three survivors were, just as this teen was…critical in the the extreme of LA, and NO local disaster officials’ lack of immediate response… citing public transit buses and school buses setting idol as the storm approached.

That lady pithily summed up the whole disaster. She pinned the main blame for lack of early response exactly where it belongs – the incompetence of NO and Louisiana (the First Responders with clear jurisdiction) to operate their own emergency plans.

So of course she got cut off.

I’m afraid this little snippet doesn’t prove anything regarding media bias. It’s widely held by many people that the Federal government’s response was inadequate. Bush admitted it and the head of Fema resigned. After Bush’s address last night they were perfectly logical questions. I know many of you would prefer a sycophantic press, but I don’t.

Karl Rove for inspiring the famous SWIFT BOAT ads that sunk Kerry. They took a war hero and made him look like a liar. Not bad. I’d call that media manipulation wouldn’t you.
How about when Rove smeared John McCain, insinuating he had a black child out of wedlock. How about Rove smearing former Texas governor Richardson by insinuating she was lesbian.
All these lies were planted in the media and Rove knew where and how to drop the stories so that they would have their desired effect. Lets not pretend that the media is not “used” by the Right.
They will even “out” a secret agent to smear her husband. There are no limits. So sometime when the Right feels the Left is coming on in a mean way remember Rove. Its just Karma. Rove got his man to be president but look at the low morals and carnage along the way.

The Swift Boat Veterans have said that they alone decided to produce these advertisements, and it was because they felt Kerrey was a liar and unfit to be President.

It is your opinion, as a card carrying leftist, that Kerrey was a war hero. As a Vietnam Veteran, as well as my brother and brother-in-law, I choose to believe the men who served with him and who have testified that he was a self promoting officer, only serving the interests of his raging megalomania.

You have made other claims about Rove planting stories against opponents of the President, McCain and Richardson; where is the objective, documentary evidence from impartial sources that will support your assertions? What you are relying upon is the accustations of fellow liberals, and for those on the left, accusations against anyone on the right are the same thing as iron-clad evidence of guilt, no investigations, no evidence and no trial is ever necessary to make these “charges” the truth!

September 18, 2005—Thirty-five percent (35%) of Americans now say that President Bush has done a good or excellent job responding to Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. That’s down from 39% before his speech from New Orleans.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows that 41% give the President poor marks for handling the crisis, that’s up 37% before the speech.

Fifty percent (50%) of Americans favor the main proposal from that speech—a federal commitment of $200 billion to help rebuild New Orleans. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are opposed and 23% are not sure.

The spending plan has not been well received by conservative voters—just 43% favor the huge federal commitment partisan while 37% are opposed. This is especially striking given how supportive the President’s base has remained throughout his Administration.

The President’s reconstruction plan is favored by 66% of liberal voters. Still, only 10% of liberals give the President a good or an excellent rating for handling the crisis.

Following the speech, the President’s rating for handling the Katrina crisis fell eight points among Republicans (from 71% good or excellent to 63%). The President also draws good or excellent marks from 11% of Democrats and 31% of those not affiliated with either major political party.

Fifty-seven percent (57%) of black voters support the federal reconstruction spending while just 17% are opposed. Among white voters, 49% favor the spending and 29% are opposed. This is the first Bush Administration proposal hat has attracted more support from black Americans than from white Americans.

Consumer confidence has recovered from its post-Katrina lows, but not from the surge in oil prices that preceded Katrina.

Dr. Leigh Fairchild: So what if the President’s approval ratings are down? What does that prove? It only reflects the temporary emotional responses of people to particular events, the biased reporting of the mainstream liberal media, and their feelings before they have time to think about the matter and their feelings change. It also reflects the bias of the polling organizations and how they design the questions to get the response their customer wants.

Every great American President has suffered similar or worse low poll ratings during their terms in office. Abraham Lincoln’s poll ratings make Bush look like a super hero by comparison. But, he is considered the first or second greatest leader in our history. Bush is willing to sacrifice poll numbers to do the right thing, to accept great challenges and to dream great dreams. He is not moved about by polls, but he measures his actions based on solid core principles, something no modern Democrat can relate to.

History will rate President Bush much higher than your liberal god Billy Jeff, a man who was absent any moral rudder or real values!

Why are Americans so completely and relentlessly thick?

Here in Europe we are endlessly astonished at how the richest nation on earth manages to produce a population that is generally so ill-educated, ignorant, backward, and lacking in knowledge that would be taken for granted in even the most poorly schooled european communities.

Little wonder you’ve ended up with an incompetent and duplicitous creep of a President who can rarely construct a literate sentence, and who’s knowledge of the world and it’s current state would be surpassed by an eleven year old in a class for children with learning difficulties here in europe.

But then, the readers of the febrile, reactionary and sub-normal crap published on this site aren’t going to know the difference are they?

It’s shameful and pathetic to watch degenerate morons like you shouting this mindless garbage at eachother, and only a relief that no-one else in the entire world can be bothered to listen to it.

    Mongoloids.
