The State of texas tends to take take the easy rout when they are hard up for a buck. they know that the “cops in shops” thing is a load of b/s. meaning they do not sit behind a counter to bust children trying to commit illegal purchases.. mainly because store owners will not pay them to be on site (wtf? why should they have to pay to have a cop stand around and pretend to shop?).
Instead, the cops will bust the cashier by sending in aperson that loooks at a “not so questionable age” at the buissiest hour (wich is typically when kids are off doing other stuff), they will make purchases and get the cashier in trouble for not inspecting all i.d. cards to etreme detail when they have a line of 20 people who are all in a hurry.
Wich just is not right.. this cashier is just here to make money… not to be fooled by (extremely questionable methods) some kid with an additude, give it his additude is pretty bad when he knows there is a cop outside to save his lil butt…
Some times there will be 2 kid normal kids trying top make an illegal purchase just before and a few right after, just by coincidance.. and the fricken undercover cop won’t even budge to bust them.. WHAT THE HECK!? instead he wants the cashier..
I feel that if they bust enough kids in an area, they will make a dent in the confidence of the kids in that surrounding area.
