Tonight President Bush will speak about the state of the Iraq war in front of thousands of servicemen at Fort Bragg. The AP has released a few excerpts of his speech with a side of left-wing rhetoric.

“Like most Americans, I see the images of violence and bloodshed. Every picture is horrifying and the suffering is real,” Bush said, according to excerpts released ahead of time by the White House. “It is worth it.”

The Associated Press has me confused.

What day is this? Tuesday, right? Late afternoon? The AP is reporting that President Bush gave a speech on Tuesday evening about the situation in Iraq. Except that it’s not yet Tuesday evening. And he hasn’t given the speech, yet.

A good speech because it addressed all of the major growing concerns of the America people.

      One thing, though, Mr. President.

Freedom is a moral, not an ideal. In a contradistinction, peace is an ideal.

But otherwise, an excellent direct communication with his bosses, to whom he is accountable.

President Bush has screwed up America! No one backmouth me on this because it is true. It’s time to face the facts and get real people! Don’t let him brainwash you with his bull crap.

Ever since he has been president the following things have gone up in price out of sight: gas, college education, insurance, many food items, and tons of other stuff. Although prices are rising the amount of jobs available is decreasing. Many jobs are either being sent overseas or remain here but are taken by foreign immigrants(most of them illegal) when a lot of home born American citizens need them badly. The national dept is higher than it ever was in U.S. history. And how do you figure he’ll make an attempt to pay it off? Increase taxes! Duh!

Bush claims to be this very moral religious person, but has the general morals of the American people and national crime rate really improved? No, if anything they have gotten worse!

We are in this stupid, useless war in Iraq and Bush seems to show no signs of letting up anytime soon as useless and wasteful as it is. His mission is to establish total peace worldwide and rid the earth of all terrorists. Awesome intention, but immpossible. You can’t force people to stop fighting if they want to fight. And one nation can’t capture every criminal or terrorist in the world. We are wasting precious lives, money, equipment, and time on something that can never be. Unless a country is a direct threat to us, we need to leave them be and let them handle things for themselves. We needed to go to Iraq to capture Saddam and those others that were a threat to us, but after we did that we needed to leave. What ever happened to the hunt for bin Laden, the main person behind the 9-11 attacks? Why isn’t our main mission hunting him down? He is still loose and a much bigger international threat than anyone else at this point. We have much more serious threats here at home that we need to deal with, both American citizens and foreign immigrants.

Bottom line, Bush is a terrible president, and will much more likely be the death of America instead of any “terrorist”.

He actually wanted to be a war president, whether there was a war to fight or not. Here a guy who got out of war at all costs, wants other kids to fight this one. and for what? every indication is that Iraq is to al Qeada what stagnent water is to misquitos, a breeding ground. We gave them what they wanted, we played into their hand of making us the clear villian who bombs and invades at whim, with bad intelligence etc.

Face it folks, we are much less safe than 9/12 2001.

Thats exactly why crackpots like Dallas and carolm carry on the way they do, they know that unless we actually lose this war on terror, Bush is going to be one of the major historical figures of this age. If what he is trying to do comes to fruition he will, as some leftists has publicly worried about, have schools named after him. Imagine how horrifying that is to those whose “great white hope” was Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton, while quite a good President from a domestic point of view will only ever be remembered as that guy who got blow jobs of his little starstruck intern in the room off the oval office, and blatantly lied about it, and yet dopey ol Dubya may well get remembered as the man who changes the course of history by bringing freedom to countless millions – eek, what a horrible thought eh?

      Dallas,

Pay close attention and you may learn something.

O.K. ? Here we go then.

      1. The 9/11/01 attacks were initiated because the United States was perceived to be a paper tiger in the eyes of Al Qaeda because the 2/26/93 bombing of the World Trade Center and various American embassies overseas went completely unanswered by President Bush’s predecessor.

      2. The present budget deficit became so large post 9/11 simply because we are fighting a war. The military that President Bush inherited had literally been gutted by his predecessor as well. Troop strength+ ammo+supplies+equipment= $$$$
But try to understand that the money we are currently spending to fight this war abroad is better than fighting the war on terror here at home. Period.

      3. What is so great about this President is that he is truly a great leader. President Bush has made tough decisions based on what was necessary; not on what was popular. Unlike some former Presidents who avoided making these tough decisions but instead conducted polling and focus groups before they formulated their opinions, policy, and public statements. There is a huge difference between being a leader and being an elected official. Whether you like it or not Dallas, this President is a leader.

      Here is a Dallas fact:

“Ever since he has been president the following things have gone up in price out of sight: gas, college education, insurance, many food items, and tons of other stuff.”

I thought all the looneys out there were saying Bush went to war for oil. How come oil prices are going up? Oh, wait, I forgot. Halliberton is secretly controlling oil prices so they can get rich faster. I think your tinfoil hat is getting a bit tight.

Who controls education these days? The looney left.

“...many food items and tons of other stuff.” That is a great way to make a point – generalizations with no specifics. Is this one of the “facts” you are referring to?

Our job is to tell them the truth, convince them of the true condition the country’s in, and that the president is not doing a good job running the country and how and why. It is not to offend them, curse them out, and call them names. Our mission is to enlighten. And people do judge you by the way you talk and write, so you really should improve your grammar and spelling too.

Your comment did not even pertain to the topic on this board. Some Americans are arrogant and act like they know way more than they do, but we are not all like that so don’t throw us all in that category. And as for penis size, I am happy with mine, but you must not be or you would not feel the need to brag so much. And most of us speak English well enough to get by so lay off us about that too. You should also have more empathy for Natalee too. We don’t know what happened to her or who is responsible, Van Der Sloot and his dad are just suspects. But don’t slam Natalee, it is not her fault she was kidnapped. The ones who commited the crime are to blame.
