WASHINGTON - The Pentagon on Friday released new details about mishandling of the Quran at the Guantanamo Bay prison for terror suspects, confirming that a soldier deliberately kicked the Muslim holy book and that an interrogator stepped on a Quran and was later fired for “a pattern of unacceptable behavior.” In other confirmed incidents, water balloons thrown by prison guards caused an unspecified number of Qurans to get wet; a guard’s urine came through an air vent and splashed on a detainee and his Quran; and in a confirmed but ambiguous case a two-word obscenity was written in English on the inside cover of a Quran.
Oh my god, he kicked the Quran! Yet these are the people who have the Bible burned or banned in their society, but how dare we touch the Quran. Are these prisoners forgetting who gave them the Quran, and who allows them to have a Quran while they are incarcerated for being terrorists. Simple conclusion, DO NOT give them Qurans.
I did a simple search on Google News for ‘Bible Abuse’, and this article came up. (The Malkin referred to in this story, is Michelle Malkin)
Malkin also cited that every Muslim detainee gets a prayer mat, a cap and a Quran. How nice! Do you suppose Christian prisoners in federal prisons get Bibles, crucifixes and rosary beads when they are processed? Malkin also discusses a phony claim (Yes, as she points out in her column, believe it or not, these murderous carnivores also tell a little fib from time to time! Go figure!) that a guard dropped a Quran on the floor, when in fact, it was a detainee who dropped it. (No 72 virgins for you, pal!) Dropped it? Even if a guard did drop the Quran, so what? How many mea culpas are needed to forgive that mortal sin? Accidents happen. People drop things unintentionally. There is a difference between dropping the Quran on the floor accidentally and deliberately defacing it. Everyone was up in arms about Newsweek’s recent piece of fiction about Qurans getting flushed down the toilet.

GITMO DETAINEES DESECRATE QURAN
That’s the headline you won’t be reading over this AP story filed tonight on investigative findings released by Brig. Gen. Jay Hood, the commander of the detention center in Cuba. ***Don’t trust the MSM reports. Read the Pentagon’s investigative fi…

I came to the same conclusion as you did in this post – don’t give them a Koran. That should prevent any future Koran problems.

Enough already… It must be a really slow news month… They have to blow these things out of proportion…
Never mind all of the abuses to the Bible and to the Christians that are in that God forsaken region. According to the ACLU and God knows how many left of center orginazitions, the U.S. is always wrong.
Nothing like kicking our service men & women when they are fighting for our country. They left proclaims to support our troops. I’ve yet to see any evidence of this.
One final note I would like to thank our service men & women for the job they are doing in service to our great country. Please disregard all of liberal media. Your doing a fantastic job.
Thanks again.

Malkin: DO NOT TRUST THE MEDIA on this new Gitmo story: is it payback for Newsweek?
Why else would The Associated Press be taking this kind of an approach in their new headline and story content on the Gitmo abuse allegations, as de-constructed in great detail by Michelle Malkin – - – and covered by the rest of the blogosphere.

This is the act of an individual soldier—nothing more. If it were our policy to do this, then that would be different.

HOW TO MISHANDLE THE KORAN
Excuse if I am speaking bluntly here, but I am must say that I am p*ssed off by the ongoing chatter about how the Koran has been “mishandled” in some way. I repeat my question from my post, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LIBRARY AT GITMO? Why do the pris…

Detainees Desecrate Koran Or U.S. Military? Let’s Kiss-up To The Enemy While He Blows Our House Down!
In the continued relentless and ridiculous back-end slapping coddling of the enemy by the MSM, the Koran stories just keep bubbling up. It’s the most to do about nothing that I think I’ve ever witnessed.

In answer the question above, I am certain that Catholic prisoners at federal prisons can get bibles, rosaries and crucifixes if they want them …. at government expense … and the cost is extremely minimal in comparison to th cost of keeping a person incarcerated for even a single day.
Our nation values the free exercise of religion.

Wasn’t America supposed to be better than other countries? If so, then it is not a good argument to excuse mistreatment of prisoners in American prisons by looking at the mistreatment in other prisons. That would be like using foreign laws as a reason to make a particular judgement in an American court of law.
