First and foremost I hope everyone takes some time out of their day to think about those who have given their lives for America and those who are currently risking their lives for the safety of Americans. Go out and enjoy yourselves while keeping your mind on how lucky you are to be here today, how lucky there is someone, somewhere you’ve never met, never known, half-way across the world from you, willing to take a bullet for you.
Today I am finding video, entries from other bloggers, and content on the web to produce a Memorial Day Round Up.

Have a link on my page. It points to remember.gov and asks Americans to stop whatever they are doing, today, at 3pm your local time for a moment of silence and take time to remember. It is NOT a video though.
Have a great day.

Dear Friend of Liberty,
Your advice for what an American should do on Memorial Day fell on my attentive ears. I do respect the idea that the liberty of each individual to best live his own life is important. So do you. Apparently you are an American conservative, so you acknowledge the value of liberty by observing the culture around you. And on Memorial Day, you surely remembered that these decisions, enjoyed by each American free man, were at one time or another won by means of defensive force. These certainties—the need of liberty we all need to live, and of a military to defend our life from agressor-nations—are the admirable centerpieces of American conservatism. But the thought that “someone, somewhere you’ve never met, never known, half-way across the world from you, willing to take a bullet for you” is not only uninspiring, it is counterproductive to all advocates of liberty. If I am a complete stranger to soldiers willing to die for me, if I am a nameless face in the crowd, a “someone, somewhere”, then your soldier who is willing to die for me is willing to die for someone who is, at best, a dream. Liberty is achieved by soldiers who have something immently personal they are fighting for—such as a loved one—not by altruists enslaved by a faceless nation.
I respectfully plead that you abandon this quasi-socialism and argue for liberty based on real values
